The creative process is oh so good for your soul! It’s been a transformative and healing aspect of my life, even when I’m crawling from the depths of bad decisions. I’m not interested in painting a perfect scene or what most consider beautiful. Painting has my back - it’s the friend I count on to absorb how deeply I experience the world, and my link to kindred spirits. I play, unload, and sometimes sleep right next to my easel.
As the eternal optimist, I wholeheartedly believe that I can bring out the beauty in most anything, and even if it seems harsh now - there is a purpose.
Creating “beautiful” artwork is the container I use for my experiences, the good and the bad.
