Figure Drawing Question, Fancy Places, a Mythological Portrait, and BUGS
Hello, hello!
I'm excited to share new work and events this week, but first I need to ask a small favor.
I've been working with a small group of teens here in Hernando at the DeSoto Arts Council, offering art classes and it's going SO GOOD! :) However, I've learned one crucial truth - mostly, the kids just want to learn how to draw people, and how to draw them realistically. Therefore, that's what we're focusing on.
We will be releasing a brand new figure drawing course and offering a personalized art path in January, but before we do - I'd like to ask you a question. Can you help me out?
You can answer the question here (and get much more info about the program) at this link.

Featured Artworks
"Honey Hole" 49.5"x33.5" Oil on Linen
This piece has a pretty new handmade frame and is hanging at Oxford's Biggest Baddest Art Show. If you are near the Powerhouse, swing by and take a peek. There's a ton of beautiful work on display by the members of Oxford Artist's Guild. You could jump start your Christmas shopping!!
"Fortune" 30"x24" Oil on Wood
This labor of love was the first self portrait I've completed in my adult years lol. I've been traveling down a rabbit hole of old statues, mythology, and symbols and loving every second.
"Spring Cicada & Fall Leaves" 6.5"x12" Oil on Panel
A small observational painting of yellow leaves from the yard and a little cicada shell I had hanging around the studio.
BTW.... I'll be in Ocean Springs this weekend painting with 100 other artists. I can't wait to be in the midst of more crazy paint nerds AND share work that comes from the trip.
Friend me on Instagram or Facebook to see all the happenings of Ocean Springs and more. I may even go live and capture all the artists at work. :)
Till next time,
-Angee
