Oil Painting Workshop - Fall 2021

Oil Painting Workshop Starting for Newbies is starting on August 31, 2021!

Have you ever wanted to learn oil painting, but have no idea where to start? And maybe you get bogged down by ALL the choices involved with simply getting the right materials - and then there's mixing paint and getting it to behave in the way you envisioned!?

Trust me, it's a lot - but it doesn't have to be intimidating.
If you are a newbie to oil painting, let me be your guide.

Over the course of 6 weeks, you will learn:

• oil painting tools and materials

• building form by using correct values

• shape recognition and simplification

• the subtlety and importance of edges

• mastering mixing colors from a limited palette

I’ll walk you through every step of the process, and you’ll go home with several paintings created directly from life and the knowledge to continue on your own.

Plus, I have so many little extras in store for this workshop to set you up for painting success!!

Sessions open for teens 13-17 and adults 18 and up. Starting 08/31/21 at the Collierville Arts Academy.
