“Trickster” & “Honey Hole” are headed to MMA

"Trickster" & "Honey Hole" will be standing alongside other contemporary artists from Mississippi & Alabama!

I'm so excited to announce that two of my paintings have been selected for Meridian Museum of Art's 47th Annual Bi-State Art Competition and Exhibition. This year's juror, Kevin Haynie, is the current curator for Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in Bentonville, Arkansas.

The exhibit will be on display August 3 - September 24, 2021, with an ending reception on September 24th at 1 pm. Museum hours are Tuesday-Saturday 11 am - 4 pm.

“The Meridian Museum of Art (MMA) is housed in the historic Old Carnegie Library building, constructed in 1912, and seeks to promote the art, artists, and art programs locally and regionally through art education, exhibitions, collections, collaborations, special events, and community involvement.” Take a look at MMA’s website to learn more about their offerings..meridianmuseum.org as well as other artists who are participating in the exhibition.

I’m beyond thrilled to be a part of this exhibition, especially because I adore the curatorial work of Kevin Haynie, and I’m looking forward to meeting other southern contemporary artists. Let me know if you are interested in coming to the show!

Cheers!
